We are home again, safe and sound. Had a TOTAL blast on our trip, but the adventure doesn't stop there. Our schedule looks to be very full for the rest of the summer, with work, school and ballet...but we won't forget the lessons learned in our travels and from visits with friends and family.

Reblogging
I didn't anticipate this being much of a problem, but I want to nip this in the bud now that it has happened once. I don't want my posts to be reblogged, but unfortunately, WordPress does not give me the option for turning off that function. I would appreciate the courtesy to ask me if … Continue reading Reblogging
Sharing Stories
Our children need to know who we are, where we came from, and what we did. How else are we going to be remembered? The stories of our life have to be passed on. That's part of what this trip was for me, a chance for my 15 year old daughter to get to know … Continue reading Sharing Stories
Oh, the memories!
As we stepped out of the car at the Lassen National Park Visitor's Center, I took a deep breath. This scent..of redwoods and wild flowers...is one you can find nowhere else in the world. It’s bright out here!
You know you've gotten accustomed to Pacific Northwest weather when you head east, and the Nevada sunshine has you shrinking into whatever shade you can find. The best part is that there are people here we love, and places that spark warm memories. Tomorrow, we'll drive through Reno, while I point out the wedding chapel … Continue reading It’s bright out here!
The Eyes Have it
For a couple of years, I have suffered with chronic dry eye and recurrent corneal abrasions (when I have I have wifi in the morning, I will find a link for you on that topic.). The day before yesterday, I awoke with one of my more severe episodes. It seemed to have improved until I … Continue reading The Eyes Have it
Differing Points of View – 2
This week's challenge was "Best Friends". This was perfect timing, because I had planned to visit one of my two best friends this past week....and we were going to have adventures. We took lots of photos during our time together, but one stands out to me...the best one of her. I wasn't able to figure … Continue reading Differing Points of View – 2
Time Flies
Time is relative when you are traveling/visiting. When you are not exactly enjoying yourself, waiting for news, or anticipating something, the moments drag painfully on. On the flip side, when you're in the middle of a favorite activity or spending time with someone you love, you suddenly find yourself at the end of the moment, … Continue reading Time Flies
