Best Friends (1 of 2)

I have the privilege and honor of having two best friends in my life.  One of them lives in Indiana, and the other in Nevada.  Today, for the first time in a little over three years, I am seeing one of them face to face.  Four days will be FAR too few, but I will savor every single second of it.  As I type this, she’s sitting next to me on the couch doing homework, and it’s comfortable, as if we were never apart.  We have changed, in big ways and small, but the core…the relationship between our hearts…has never changed, only strengthened.  When she moved to Nevada, it made it much more possible to visit, and so here I am.  We understand each other…the good, the bad and the ugly.  We are goofy, damaged, opinionated, weird, beautiful freaks.  I love Honey…and I always will.
